Welcome to the OSSAR-CS3 METIS system - Routinely monitoring the reference Copernicus Sentinel-3 (CS3) L2 NRT Aerosol product procured by EUMETSAT!
METIS is the EUMETSAT Monitoring & Evaluation of Thematic Information from Space (METIS). It provides routine diagnostics of the reference L3 NRT S3 aerosol product directly generated by the operational processor: Optimized Simultaneous Surface Aerosol Retrieval from Copernicus Sentinel-3 (OSSAR-CS3). OSSAR-CS3 is implemented, maintained, incrementaly evolved and lead autonomously by EUMETSAT, directly entrusted by the European Comission (EC) and the Copernicus programme mandates.
Current Satellite L2 NRT Sentinel-3 Aerosol Products are from: Sentinel-3 SLSTR-A and -B.

All analyses are stratified into 20 Regions of interest (ROI).
Latest evolution was released on 28th October 2021, and is associated with the OSSAR-CS3 processor v3.0, Processing Baseline 2.0, Collection 2.
